Who we are
Cave of Crystal opened in June 2020. The premise was simple: quality minerals, gemstones, and crystals — genuinely rare pieces, honest information, and a hard pass on the usual mystical marketing fog.
The website is where you shop. Substack is where things get interesting. Deep-dive education, real conversation, and first access to new pieces before they disappear into someone else's collection. If you want to actually understand what you're holding — its geology, its history, why it does what it does to your mind, body and spirit — that's where you want to be.
We work with serious collectors, people deep in self-discovery and energy practice, and anyone who's ever been stopped cold by a piece of Mother Earth that takes your breath away. If you've felt that pull, you're in the right place.
Founder Michele Morgen has been obsessed with crystals since she was four years old, growing up in Northeast Philadelphia. She came up through licensed art psychotherapy and theatre — which is to say, she thinks carefully about how objects, symbols, and experience shape the way we understand ourselves. That's not a brand angle. It's just how she's wired.
Her approach is grounded in geology, psychology, creativity, and thirty-plus years of hands-on relationship with crystals and minerals. She's not interested in softening the science to make room for fantasy, or flattening the meaning to seem more academic. Crystals are tools — for attention, for clarity, for making better decisions in an actual life.
The pieces are extraordinary. The knowledge is real. The rest follows.
